What to expect from your first appointment

At your first appointment, you will have the opportunity to meet with Dr. Kelly or Dr. Wadkins who will introduce you to the practice and address and questions that you may have. He will also perform an oral exam for you at this time and take any x-rays that may be needed. If you are due for a cleaning you will see a hygienist prior to meeting with Dr. Kelly or Dr. Wadkins.

If you are bringing your child in for their first visit to The Dental Doctors, please plan to stay with them for the duration of their first appointment. Though your child may be older, a new office is exciting and they may want your support during their appointment.

Emergent Care

If you are currently experiencing a dental emergency please call our office at 507-281-3926. We will do our best to get you the immediate care that you need.

Insurance

Yes! We will happily submit all the information required by your insurance company. We are unrestricted providers so we can help submit to all insurance companies. Once your insurance company has received the necessary information they will reimburse you directly (well, some send it to us, even when we tell them to pay you...) for the portion of your service they cover.

Dr. Kelly and Dr. Wadkins diagnose, recommend and provide treatment based on their professional experience. We strive to offer you honest opinions of any conditions your teeth or gums may have. We pride ourselves on working with you to educate and tailor treatment that is centered around your needs and wants. We do not believe in a “one size” fits all approach. If you are the recipient of an employer sponsored dental policy, it is important to understand how the contracts are negotiated between your employer and the insurance provider. The amount of coverage is dependent upon that agreement made between the insurance company and your employer and is not based upon the cost of services or quality of care. Many employers work to limit coverages to keep the cost of plans lower. The amount of compensation you receive will be based upon your policy coverages alone.

We are confident in our team’s ability to assist patients concerning their individual dental policy. However, we strongly encourage each patient to be aware of their plan policies including yearly revisions that may take place. It is your sole responsibility to review your policy documents.
